About

Our values

Inclusion

We celebrate diversity and welcome clients of any age, gender-identity, sexual orientation, race, ability, culture or language background.

We strive to create a space for you to feel safe to be yourself, without fear of discrimination or judgement.

Client-centred care

Whilst we acknowledge the important role that practitioners play in an individual’s healthcare journey, we strongly believe that you are the star of the show, not us.

We aim to provide guidance by sharing our knowledge and clinical experience, to empower you to achieve goals that are meaningful and relevant to you.

Body positivity

Human bodies come in many different shapes and sizes and we believe that you have the right to receive high-quality healthcare – regardless of height, weight, waist circumference, or any other physical attribute of your body.

We promote functional goals, based on your values and individual circumstances. We do not promote weight-loss or dieting.

Movement optimism

A large body of scientific research unequivocally supports our belief that the human body is highly adaptable and thrives when regularly engaging in a wide variety of movements.

We believe there is no such thing as ‘correct’ or ‘incorrect’ technique, but that movement should be tailored to your specific goals, and that people need fewer barriers to becoming stronger and more physically active, not more.

Informed consent

We believe that you have the fundamental right to make informed decisions about your healthcare.

We want you to fully understand the rationale for treatment recommendations, and be the ultimate decision-maker in your care.

Evidence-based practice

We believe that only treatments and interventions that have been demonstrated to be safe and effective in rigorous scientific studies should be offered to clients.

We stay up to date with the latest research findings through ongoing professional development and peer supervision.
